Climate Change Propaganda

In addition, I was inspired to convey the changing seasons in order to show the passing of time, similar to Adrienne Pierluissi's piece Four Poppies, shown to the left. In Pierluissi's artwork, she created 52 paintings of the different life stages of a poppy. These pieces symbolize how a community copes with bad news, and how there will be some good days and some bad days, which, Pierluissi argues, is normal.
In my piece about climate change, I want to convey the four seasons as something no longer normal, by using colors that often relates to each season. I also plan to create a collage, similar to Pierluissi's 52 canvases, because repetition helps emphasize the main ideas of a piece - her's being community while mine is climate action. Pierluissi's composition was obvious, in how the pieces move around the circle as time goes on, but my piece will be less organized, to symbolize the chaos of the modern climate injustices. |
